We invite you to the next, already ninth scientific conference "BioMedTech Silesia 2012", dedicated to advances in bioengineering and medical biotechnology. The conference aim is to exchange experiences and review the achievements and potential of academic research teams and other centers of research and implementation in the country that deal with issues of medical bioengineering and biotechnology.

Active participation of representatives of many of the scientific, educational, and media production in previous editions of the conference "BioMedTech Silesia" ranked it in the calendar as the constant and annual scientific meetings. This is probably the only one, and certainly one of the few such meetings, which combine youth, students, experienced researchers, and even work-inactive people who have common aim to use skills, knowledge and experience for the benefit of human health and life and the development of medicine .

The initial plan for the conference provides a meeting next Friday in March 2012:

March 9, 2012, 10.00 a.m. - Popular-scientific session BioMedTech Silesia SENIOR - for students of Universities of the Third Age, who often are endowed with an original perspective on the issues of health, medicine and technology, creating a curious group of hobbyists. The main part of the conference will be the work by the course participants of Universities of the Third Century, and other guests. Anyone who raises a desire to come and present their history - will be invited onto the stage. As hosts we will present three lectures: biology, engineering and physics of the progress carried out in the Heart Prosthesis Institute work on biotechnology, artificial heart and surgical robot. For participants will wait the demonstrations of interesting devices and technologies developed in the Foundation. Selected by the conference the author of the most interesting work will have the opportunity to present the his work at the international session.

March 16, 2012, 10.00 a.m. - Doctor BioMedTech Silesia session - it will be a scientific session of doctoral students, and it also reports on the work carried out by the Regional Fund of Doctoral Scholarships provided through the Network of Centres of Excellence BioMedTech Silesia (use of EU funds). Shortly after the last presentation, the audience and the Scientific Council of the Conference will select the most interesting session of doctoral work. The author of this work will have the opportunity to present if at the international session.

March 23, 2011, 9.00 a.m. - JUNIOR BioMedTech Silesia session - two sessions: Youth (middle school and high school) and student. Shortly after the last presentation, the audience and the Scientific Council of the Conference will select his opinion, the most interesting work session, the youth and student. After the break, during which the audience votes will be counted and the Scientific Council of the Conference will be an official announcement of the results, awarding prizes / surprises and figurines produced by art school students Zabrze. Furthermore, the main prize for participants of all sessions will be an opportunity to present their work at an international conference BioMedTech Silesia 2012.

March 30, 2012, 9.00 a.m. - International Scientific Conference BioMedTech Silesia 2012. International Session for experienced and professional researchers in the course of which occur as the winners of all previous sessions.

We count on the presence and discussion of youth, students, doctoral candidates, representatives of science and technology, medical and business world.

The conference is organized by a network of Centres of Excellence, consisting of well-known and recognized in our area of ​​scientific institutions: the Centre of Excellence Polymers 2000 +, Centre of Excellence for Research Department of COI (Centre of Oncology in Gliwice), Centre of Excellence for Research and Teaching of Molecular Biology of Matrix and Nanotechnology (University of Silesia Medical), Centre of Excellence STIMCARD (Institute of Medical Technology and Equipment) and the Centre of Excellence ProCordis, coordinated by the Foundation for Cardiac Surgery Development. The directors of these centers form the Conference, which will emerge from the submitted work papers accepted for presentation.
